Setting an Example for Our Children
Today I went to church. One of the speakers mentioned setting a good example for our children is so important. Set an example for your children, because "no other success can compensate for failure in the home." The Lord Jesus Christ said, "But I have commanded you to bring up your children in light and truth." ( Doctrine and Covenants, Section 93, Verse 40 ). I imagine my son, who is now not yet 2 years old, as a teenager, aware of my actions... One of the ways in which I need to set a good example is in what I watch, read, listen to, and look at.
